It could be a confusing day for the bulls and bears as they deal with head fakes and traps of all types
Strong day out of the market yesterday but what does it really mean for the market today and the days ahead. Should we expect to seek the bulls get head faked once again on the breakout possibility yesterday, only to revert back into the consolidation pattern that we have been stuck in for the past three weeks
OR
Are the bears going to short this market expecting the head fake described above to rear its ugly head again, but instead trap the bears in their shorts and rally the market to new all-time highs.
The question has yet to be answered. Yesterday’s price action was a good start for the bulls and puts the shorts on notice. However, it isn’t a done deal. The market hasn’t made a clear and decisive move out of the trading range. So it is very possible we see price falter today and the day’s ahead. If that happens, I will start to scale back my long positions and start to hedge some with short positions as a result.
Keep an eye out for what I am telling you!

Welcome to Swing Trading the Stock Market Podcast!
I want you to become a better trader, and you know what? You absolutely can!
Commit these three rules to memory and to your trading:
#1: Manage the RISK ALWAYS!
#2: Keep the Losses Small
#3: Do #1 & #2 and the profits will take care of themselves.
That’s right, successful swing-trading is about managing the risk, and with Swing Trading the Stock Market podcast, I encourage you to email me (ryan@shareplanner.com) your questions, and there’s a good chance I’ll make a future podcast out of your stock market related question.
In this podcast episode, Ryan talks about how he uses profit multiples for taking profits on his swing-trades, and how not everyone of your trades that are winners will be 2:1 or 3:1 multiples of the amount that you risked on the trade.
Be sure to check out my Swing-Trading offering through SharePlanner that goes hand-in-hand with my podcast, offering all of the research, charts and technical analysis on the stock market and individual stocks, not to mention my personal watch-lists, reviews and regular updates on the most popular stocks, including the all-important big tech stocks.
