I grew up in on the east coast of Florida, and all my life I have witnessed in person nearly every shuttle launch. Whether it was across the Indian River during a night launch, at Cape Canaveral, seeing only miles from the launch pad the Challenger explode or outside in my backyard watching John Glenn reach outer space again, the Space Program holds a special place in my heart, and hated to see it get de-funded in recent years.
Recently Houston was skipped over for the Space Shuttle Endeavour for Los Angeles, but what is really cool, is how it was transported into the museum. One of the coolest videos you’ll see.
