Here’s a new screen for you that I ran last night, and will look to update every month and that is the highest paying dividend stocks/funds currently being traded. The annual dividend payouts range from 12% all the way up to 26% (TNE). TNE is actually a foreign telecom stock, and why they choose to payout the dividend that they do, I have no idea. But most of them you will see are connected to REIT’s or some type of debt instrument. Either way, they are all worth checking out, and since they do have such a high payout, they offer a lot of downside protection should this market make another turn downwards in the near future.

I reviewed the charts for each of these stocks, and I can say that none of the stocks below have taken any major hits lately that would be cause for them to be paying such a high divident yield. Instead, they all seem to have pretty steady, upward moving trends in place.
