Now for Part Two of my watch-list for short-setups. If you missed the the first one, you can find it by clicking here. Same rules apply as before, be aware that all new additions on the list are highlighted in yellow.
Overall, today was a good day for the portfolio – up a little over 1%, the month overall wasn’t all that bad either, and the quarter on the whole was nothing but phenomenal. No new positions to report today, but I did close out/cover my short position in Insight Enterprises (NSIT)…well almost. A measly 23 shares was left in my account – way to get me that great fill ThinkorSwim!!! It’s not a big deal, as the amount of shares is nothing more than pimple in regards to the position as a whole that I had. Just annoying that I have to close it out tomorrow morning.
In any case, here are guidelines for what determines inclusion on my watch-list.
1) Price and volume pattern is intriguing
2) Stock has been heavily sold-off in the recent days or weeks, but still remains on the list for a possible short off of a weak rally, and
3) Stock is one of intrigue to me, such as Goldman Sachs (GS), so I keep it around in the case that there is a setup that is too good to pass up.
Most of them though fall under condition one. The stop-losses for ALL of the stocks have been updated. Don’t be a stranger if you have any questions.
Here are 38 Short Setups (Part 2)
