A Most Excellent Month of Swing-Trading in July

My Gosh, July was a wild ride in the market!

We had, count them, FOUR reversals that took place during the month, and by no means did it render itself to easy trading. The market entered the month trending to the downside, followed by a hard bounce that took price on the S&P 500 back to testing all-time highs. But it would ultimately end in failure as the market would experience five straight days of selling. Of course, the bears weren’t able to seize opportunity and instead put in a higher-low that saw a mild bounce to take us into the end of the month. 

All the while, the market just channeled sideways yet again covering the same price range for five straight months now. 

But in the SharePlanner Splash Zone, we took, those lemons and made us some nice tasty lemonade by adding more profits to the portfolio and finishing the month out on top.

As you can see the risk was minimized. Not every trade was easy, but I consistently kept myself in a position to profit at every turn in the market. And when price action didn’t go our way, risk, was minimized and when the profits started rolling in again, we maximized our opportunities.
