We’ve seen a lot of back and forth out of this market so far this week. Bears are making some progress but the prospect for dip buyers to flood the market on a moment’s notice is very real.

We are currently witnessing the 10-day moving average cross below the 20-day moving average. The last time that happened was 1/23/14 and it led to a hefty sell-off in the market.

But what continues to be the thorn in the side for the bulls is the fact that it cannot break and hold 1873. Five days in a row now it has failed each time. However, the bears need to take advantage of this and push price below 1839. Only then will we see the kind of downside that can be sustained for a longer period of time.
