Wall Street Nole’s Morning Stocks to Watch for Day-Trading
“Oh, the best part of waking up…”
I hope everyone had a great Christmas as I’m ready to rock today despite what is still perceived as a lack luster and untrusting market.
I’m on pins and needles lately in an attempt to avoid over-trading in a market dominated by fiscal cliff updates. I missed multiple opportunities yesterday and I’m perplexed on how to handle my trading. One thing that remains good is the discipline I’m seeking by trading very slow and steady. The Splash Zone has been able to trade consistently with small daily gains on only a couple trades per day. I can’t say anything will change for the next few days but I”m always ready to strike if the opportunity arises.
Check out some of today’s highly anticipated stocks to day-trade while you have your morning coffee.
Morning Coffee – Day-Trading Watch-List | |
1 | $MRVL- Court hearings and patent disputes have put this company in play as the share price dropped 10% yesterday. PM trading is already down another 3% as price movement seems to be extremely PR sensitive. |
2 | $BIDU- Had a bit of an uncharacteristic price surge yesterday as news came out on a new voice recognition software. The stock trended all day from $97 to 102.50 without any significant retracement. I’ll keep an eye on this for a continued uptrend today. |
3 |
$SWHC- This stock has fallen outside the uptrend and is now below the 200EMA on the daily. this morning it announced a 20 million buy back effort. PM trading is at 8.05/8.20, around 2% above yesterday’s close. |

Welcome to Swing Trading the Stock Market Podcast!
I want you to become a better trader, and you know what? You absolutely can!
Commit these three rules to memory and to your trading:
#1: Manage the RISK ALWAYS!
#2: Keep the Losses Small
#3: Do #1 & #2 and the profits will take care of themselves.
That’s right, successful swing-trading is about managing the risk, and with Swing Trading the Stock Market podcast, I encourage you to email me (ryan@shareplanner.com) your questions, and there’s a good chance I’ll make a future podcast out of your stock market related question.
In today's episode, I explain whether it is a good idea or not to rapidly increase the size of your portfolio if you come across a sum of cash. A lot of traders will do this without ever recognizing the emotional toll it can have on you as a swing trader and the awful mistakes you can make in doing so.
Be sure to check out my Swing-Trading offering through SharePlanner that goes hand-in-hand with my podcast, offering all of the research, charts and technical analysis on the stock market and individual stocks, not to mention my personal watch-lists, reviews and regular updates on the most popular stocks, including the all-important big tech stocks.
