Here’s one of your more traditional “Buffett-like” stock screens where I am essentially looking for companies selling well below their book value. With the market hovering in overbought territory lately, it would be nice to find those stocks that are still considered under-valued. The stocks below represent those companies that are trading at less than half its book value.

Of the stocks that I have listed, the ones that I find of interest from a technical standpoint is MI Developments (MIM) which in the past two days has managed to breakout to new highs. The other two are less exciting, but are forming a new trend after recently establishing new lows – Mirant Corp (MIR) and Seahawk Drilling Inc. (HAWK). Also add CX to your watch list as it is forming a nice double bottom.
