Futures have taken quite a hit off of its overnight highs, and the Jobless Claims haven’t been embraced by the street as a whole with its miss this morning. Nonetheless, the market still is aiming at a positive open, albeit a slight one. I’m not inclined yet to get rid of this hedge position. LONG:
After a week where we had a 44% gainer in one of our long plays (HNR), and both the long and short setups were net positive, the bar was set pretty high for this week’s performance. However, there is nothing shabby about this week’s results, as both the long setups outperformed the short setups by
Futures have steadily improved and we are looking at a gap open above the overhead resistance level at 1173. As it currently stands we are in store for gains of about 1% at the opening bell rings. LONG: Gannett Co. (GCI)
Futures continue to pair their losses, only down about 1/2 percent right now. Today, with little morning news, and a bit of vulnerability on both sides of the trade, today is shaping up for a decent gap-fade setup. Below you’ll find my morning long and short setups. Futures have scaled back are now trading in a mixed fashion after the ADP Employment report that came in at -39,000. I don’t consider this to be a huge blow to the market, but could allow for us to see an open in the red to start the day. The long pick below, TIE, is
Huge week for the Daily Long and Short Setups that I give you on a daily basis. We had a blowout of a stock return in the form Harvest Natural Resources (HNR). Which is currently up 44% since I recommended it back on 9/24. I also had a pretty good deal of success with my
Since the morning trading plan was posted, futures has dramatically improved to the tune of a half percent on the S&P. I’ll be looking to get out of my hedge position on any kind of pullback that we get between now and the open. LONG: AGCO Corp. (AGCO)
