I would love to know why a company called “VCA Antech” gives themselves a stock symbol of “WOOF”. There has to be a million other letter combinations that gives a better impression of being something more than a dog kennel for goodness sakes. Thank goodness I don’t trade off of company perception because I’d sell
I wasn’t planning on doing another post – but I found 3 very tempting setups to jump in – and yes – I just took a position in Affymax just moments ago at $17.26 as a long play. All of these trades I consider to be swing-trades. I’ve noted the entries and targets for each
I’m a bit bummed out that I didn’t get in on the Ball Corp (BLL) breakout today. But I am quite happy about the chance that was presented to me with Redhat (RHT). I actually traded RHT earlier this month in the $55’s and it is no doubt higher since I got stopped out at

Every time I trade Estee Lauder (EL) – which is more times than I’d like to admit, a bit of my manhood gets flushed down the tubes. Yet again, I find myself today crossing gender boundaries and getting sucked into another EL trade. Basically its outcome boils down to this: Who will rise victorious at
It didn’t take me much time this morning to add a new position, and I did so by shorting Hawaiian Electric (HE) at $28.44. The stock is forming a very nice head and shoulders pattern this morning, and the only drawback to this play is that it hasn’t broken the neckline of the aforementioned pattern.
So far today it has been relatively quiet for me. I sold out of Canadian Natural Resources (CNQ) at $30.28 from $28.78 for a 5.2% gain and haven’t done much else. I’m tempted to add another short position to the portfolio to add some balance to the existing 4 long positions I currently hold. In
Market is on a tear yet again, but if it is like anything similar to the previous four peaks that we’ve seen off of the 6/4 lows, then it would be easy to surmise that we are probably ready for yet another pullback. But of course once you start catching on to the market and
