One of my favorite movies of all time, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid, had a quote in there that has always stuck with me in life.
After being told, “You keep thinking, Butch, that’s what you’re good at!”
Butch responds with:
“Boy, I got vision and rest of the world wears bifocals.
So how does that relate to trading you ask?
When it comes to trading it simply isn’t enough to just read a book and think you know something about trading. You have to believe in what you are doing dedicate yourself to the improvement of your craft, the course that you are taking and not simply do it because you want to get rich quick.
You have to have a vision for yourself as a trader and for the trades you make. When you look at the charts you have to have vision for what the chart is trying to show you. Simply doing what a text book shows you won’t cut it by itself. You have to see what the charts are showing you, trust what it is showing you, and act accordingly.
