My Swing Trading Approach

The bounce of late has been a hard bounce, and more than a dead cat bounce. This bounce should be respected and played. The biggest risk to consider remains North Korea. 

Indicators

VIX – Wants to go sub-10 again, and likely will. 

T2108 (% of stocks trading below their 40-day moving average) – Much improved, though runs the risk of SPX of establishing new all-time highs, while less than 50% of stocks trade above their 40-day MA. 

Moving averages (SPX): With all the MA’s captured, follow the 5-day MA for any changes in the current direction of the market. 

Industries to Watch Today

TECH is the big play here in the market. Autos are also in play as they have rapidly improved in value in recent days. Biotech still shooting through the roof. Financials could be in play with the NFP report out.
