The case why traders are NEVER happy/satisfied:
1) Missed the move
2) Caught the move but on the wrong side of the move
3) Caught the move, right side of the move, but got out to early
And my personal favorite...
4) Caught the move, right side of the move, perfect entry and exit but... SIZE was too SMALL.
E-Trade could probably be considered the Geico of brokerage commercials. They no doubt have the best commercials in their, otherwise, boring industry. Here is the latest one they have released - The Outakes...Enjoy...
If you were short the market this week, you paid for it dearly. The bulls came back with vengence, and never relented. Here's a video of a couple of shorts who refused to give up and what subsequently happened to them...
Be careful if you are still shorting this market, this market refuses to breakdown!!!
I've long been a fan of King of Queens and this hasalways been my favorite episode. In fact, I have it saved on my DVR for when I'm having one of those days. The plot of this particular episode is this:
Doug receives a Christmas bonus of $3,000 and Carrie wants to invest it in a new Internet stock. The stock immediately gains but loses the next few days and cuts their bonus worth in half. Throughout the episode, the stock goes up and down which changes the moods and hopes of Doug and Carrie.
Frankly, I think it is safe to say, that as traders we have all been in Doug and Carrie's shoes at one time or another - just hopefully never again.
Below is part two and three of the episode - I've provided links to the first part below (part one is somewhat irrelavent).
In case you haven't seen it yet - this is one of the best videos of the year. As a Free-Market Capitalist I'm against government internvention, and Santelli couldn't have said it better. For once I actually agree with what CNBC has to say on something. Enjoy!
