Trading UUP is pretty much like watching grass grow. While today it made a half percent move, made up all of its initial losses I had on the table, it nonetheless, moves much slower than your typical stock or ETF, so when you are trading a security like UUP in order to realize larger profits it is necessary to commit a larger portion of your portfolio to the trade. I have about 40% of my portfolio in the dollar, and am basically using it currently as a placeholder until the market can come off of its overbought conditions and afford me the opportunity to add a few new long positions to the portfolio at that point. So UUP is the only position in the portfolio, but it looks to be in good shape as the stock is primed for a nice bounce in the upward moving channel that it is trading in.
