Good but could be better

TDA is one of the bigger brokerages out there. Their buy out of ThinkorSwim really put their software as #1 in my opinion. The order execution isn't the best. Their shares to borrow are about the same as the other big names. There are some things they could do better but that would be nit picking.

Flash Problems

Sometimes when I get on a roll and trade at a fast pace they delay the orders "pending review" which has been an inconvenience at times. There does not seem to be a one click trading mechanism from within the platform itself...you have to place then confirm the orders. There does seem to be lag too when placing orders from within the app.

Their Trade Architect is a new platform and the flash seems to hang up quite often. When changing back and forth between several charts sometimes I have to clear my cache often. I have a Mac that is about six months old, so it's not my computer that causes the hang-ups.

I have an Apex account, so customer service is pretty good, and their reps are knowledgeable and friendly when you call.

Has improved with TOS Aquisition

pretty good compared to what else is offered out there. very similar to thinkorswim and their platform (they own them too) so they share a lot of similarities. if you like TOS you'll like TD
